Travel in style

5 Best Travel Looks for the season

Travel is the newest bug around the block. Travelling is everyone’s answer to daily hustle-bustle of life. Forget brands, forget gold, everyone is saving major dough to travel. Generation Z wants to progress from being a tourist to a traveller, or a global citizen. And it does seem like they have come a long way.  And with so much emphasis being laid on the culture of travelling, we couldn’t help but ponder about all the possibilities the realm of travel style holds. Travelling by bus, train, flight or car, travel style needs to be easy, loungy and voguish. Always. Travelling to a beach or to hills, for work or to forge matrimonial alliances, your look has to complement your purpose, and then there are some looks that you can conveniently pull off for most travels.

I picked some travel looks that I will personally like to try for my summer shenanigans, and be comfortable in while acing my trip and more. Why don’t you have a look?

Denim Debacle

The denim debacle

The denim debacle

Let us do some denim debacle. Wage a war against anything that isn’t denim. Denim-hue shirt, denim jeans, and a jacket for the just-in-case-cold. Oversized sunglasses? Check. Comfy no-nonsense androgynous shoes? Check. Easy-to-carry accommodate-it-all bag? Check. Effortlessly chic. Comfortable to the T. Strut around all-day-long on the busy roads of Udaipur, or grab a drink in the beachside café in Goa, this look won’t play spoilsport.

The head turner point: The ultra-quirky jeans, what else!

Gypsy Soul

The gypsy look

When the going gets travelsy, why not consider embracing some art and culture? Some variety and some diversity. Something more ethnic – rustic but at the same time, classy. Pick things that look like shopping memoirs. And enhance that vibe of travel being on your mind. Like an indigenous blouse and a midi skirt. And complement it with some accessories – big ear-rings, hair baid or some ethnic jewelry.  Just make sure that your pick isn’t too difficult to carry. It shouldn’t affect your mobility. Rest is all sorted. Sneaky sneakers being the flavor of the season, it is just so easy to pair them with anything and everything under the sun.

And, no matter how much you love your jewellery, it is advisable to keep these restricted to a bare minimum.

Playful and preppy

Why not try something playful?

Why not try something playful?

Vacations are meant for playing around with the normal. It’s your experimental lab, to experiment with your choices, moods and picks. When you want to play around, dress like you mean play. An easy dress and a fedora hat. Comfortable loafers, and your travel scenes are sorted. And be free to be more Instragramic. Click that selfie on the airport and upload it on your social media profiles and you are good to go. After all, such looks are to make friends jealous.

Word of caution: This look may not be the most appropriate for a lot of train or bus journeys. So, do it only when you are travelling luxury-class.

Dainty Diva

Live the diva in you

Live the diva in you

Ooh, the oomph factor. The killer looks. Every woman is a diva, a queen of emotions. How can you miss to live this diva when you are travelling through the boulevards of old, heritage European cities or just walking past the fort cities of India. This is the look  to put on. Let your flared pants do the magic. The hottest trend of the season makes some noise at the travel junctions too. Flare it up. Team a shirt or a cropped top with it. And you will be probably ready to take on the boardroom like that too. Carry an overcoat or a summer in case the going gets chilly.

Need to up the swag? Color up the pant, just like Posh here!

Slouchy overalls

Just be a bit more swaggy in casuals

Just be a bit more swaggy in casuals

The comfort, the carelessness, the ‘who care’ air and the ‘real me’ looks, nothing makes you more you than casuals. Slouch, and run about, carefree and carelessly. Lots of pockets, very nautical, and very vacation-ready. Could you have asked for more? Messy hairdo maybe! And you get it all in this look.

If you enjoyed, this story, we will say, take it as an inspiration and a cue, to get into travelling majorly. For life is too short to not travel. And nobody can travel enough.

While the style tips and everything are great, we say, nothing should ever come in the way of your comfort and your vacation desires. Don’t do any fashion if it seems too hard. Take it easy, and travel like you mean it. And then everything will fall into place.
